All you need is love ❤️🎶🎵🎶❤️

You know what? I almost blogged about how motivation is important, about the next twisted sex scene I intend to write or how to fight the blank page syndrome… Well, more likely the sex scene to be honest. :-P

However, something happened two days ago, a little thing that reminded me one of the reasons why I write.

And I had to be reminded.

When I finished my first book a few years ago, the one I intended to officially publish, it was all that mattered. I was full of fire, immersed in the story and the characters, anxious but excited to share what was in my mind with the world. And then I hit “Publish”.

I think it was when my life changed course in some way. My life as a writer.

It was more like a roller-coaster ride caught in a storm; that’s when I discovered that being a writer held many more tasks than just writing. There is the marketing, the editing, the formatting… all tiny bits of an endless string that extends way beyond putting words on the page.

And then I wrote another book, and another one. Don’t get me wrong, I love each and every one of my stories, they come from the deepest and truest part of my soul. My perspective just blurred due to amount of work.

I do write for myself, and with passion. And I write for the readers too. Lost in all the to-dos, my nose so close to the screen, it was a quick text from someone named Debbie who made me lean back on my chair.

Nothing fancy or weird, only a sincere compliment. In a dry spell, she was searching for new books, and came across one of mine… and now wanted more!

Kind words that warmed my heart and calmed those constant doubts plaguing any author out there (all writers know what I mean!)

You readers out there don’t know how much you matter to us, and not from a monetary point of view. You dive into what we cherish the most. When you connect, buy, review, reach out, it’s like that first sip of hot coffee in the morning, a sky full of fireworks, a warm blanket in a cold winter evening. My favorite way of getting a surge of happiness. It’s priceless.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank Debbie, wherever she is, for giving me a much-needed dose of motivation to continue.

Dear readers who are reading this blog and my books, THANK YOU. I say it from the bottom of my heart. Very much like the characters in my romance novels, we are in a relationship, and I swear I’ll never take you for granted.
